Tommy Johnson The Boogie Woogie Man - The Ivory Was Alive!

Saturday, September 24

Tommy Johnson's goal is to take people of all ages on a magical musical tour where they can forget their everyday troubles and woes. We had an absolutely fabulous night of jazz and boogie! Tommy is self-taught, started playing the piano at age 4, made his debut at the age of 7 on the Horace Heidt Show and at age 9 he was pictured in LIFE Magazine. Wendell Castle's Caligari Piano will never be the same after Tommy tickled the ivories!

Swamp Sistas Song Writing Circle with Beth McKee

The Swamp Sistas Songwriter Circle: women of varying ages and stages with a passion for songwriting offered a fantastic concert featuring the Caligari piano on October 15. The group began gathering monthly at Beth McKee's home in early 2015, to workshop songs incorporating a word or phrase sent ahead of time and the gatherings birthed a performance collective. The group presents acoustic, in-the-round concerts wherein the women share songs and stories, often jumping in to sing or play on one another's tunes. Terri Binion, Hannah Harber and Kayonne Riley joined McKee for this amazing performance.
